Toozacrowd

Never heard of them...

Toozacrowd are a Christian comedy and improvisation double act with at least three members, probably more. They exist to rib-tickle a giggle and share their faith through fast paced wit and remarkable timing. If you want to book them or just find out a bit more about them and their unique brand of comedy then why not fill in the form below? If you don't fancy messaging them or if you have no keyboard / hands to do so then just read on...

Toozacrowd: improvised Biblically based quick wit, a unique brand of Christian comedy entertainment and a stage full of fun. Think 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' crossed with 'Songs of Praise' but with less singing.

The constant and consistent Toozacrowd members are Tom and Kit. They are ridiculous. Tom, 27, is a youth worker in Bicester. He is married to Sarah and doesn't like pizza. Kit, 26, works for a Christian charity in London Town and loves all sorts of cheese. They started being funny around the turn of the millennium at a conference called Eater People with short sketches on God, life and the Bible. They developed what little ability they may never of had into a show. They thought it best to avoid rehearsing - and the improvised Bible was born. In addition to a staring role in the Easter People fringe they have performed at the Lantern Arts Centre's Cafe Studio as well as a host of church and community venues around the UK.

Good clean fun all round.

Toozacrowd TV

Have you ever been concerned by the total lack of improvised Biblically based comedy shows on TV? Well so have we. That's why when we were asked to appear on The Frost on Art Show on the God Channel we paused for a moment and thought, 'The God Channel? Isn't that a station for charismatic church leaders to ask for money?' And then we realised that, while we are charismatic, we are not church leaders - so this must be something of a different show.

How right we were.

Following an interview and debate with other artists - Kathy Burton (singer/song writer), 29th Chapter (Hip Hop), a film producer whose name we can't remember - about the christian ethics of comedy we performed to a studio audience to great acclaim and hilarity. Unfortunately, this was unsuitable for broadcast - apparently one of the mics wasn't working - so we did a voice over for it which made us look a bit weird. Which is fairly accurate.

In short, we were on TV in more than 30 countries and watched by over 100 million viewers world-wide. Ha. Ridiculous.

The Lamp Tour: Winter 2008

Well, you've missed it! There was a stage full of lamps and a host of volunteers. Highlights include the Pumpkin song in Bicester and calling a small child a witch (completely accidently, of course) in Grimsby. Many cried with laughter, some laughed so hard they had to be taken away, one man laughed so hard he fainted - on closer inspection it turns out that he wasn't laughing at all but in fact had just sat on a marrow. All were entertained. Thanks for coming and for all the smiles. We'll see you around no doubt. Missing you already.

Future dates:

We're in Milton Keynes (a new city), Hull (a cheap city) and Keswick (not a city) over the next few months - more details to follow.

Watch this space!
